The following is the entire history of Derald D. Fisher, in Co. "C", 1st Bn, 23rd Marines, 4th Marine division, for 4 days. It is an example of the futility of war. No veteran of C-1-23 remembers who he was, nor what platoon or squad he was with, nor has any memory of his looks or person. He died with us.
