This website is dedicated to the United States Marine Corps, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division Marines who served during World War II. Its mission is to preserve the legacy and honor these young Americans and their families.

This pictures shows 177 original C Company men and officers. It does not show the men who were on liberty or in sick bay. Shortly after this picture was taken, D Company was eliminated and heavy weapons was added to each company in 1st Battalion so men from the original D Company were added to A Company, B Company, and C Company each. C Company received 60 men. This photograph was taken in 1943.
