Wooden Box Found - Information Sought

The webmaster at C123rd.com was recently contact by a person who had purchased a wooden box on the internet with C Company 1st Battalion 23rd Marines 4th Marine Division burned on it. It also has Spokane 1943 burned on the side. We're going through our records trying to figure out who it might be as the person is hoping we would be able to find the name or maybe even a picture of the man who this box belonged to. They'd love to be able to put a name and face with it and give this Marine the honor he deserves.
